St. Mary's Condos For Sale
| St. Mary's is one of Brookline's four important retail districts, the other three being Coolidge Corner, Brookline Village and Washington Square. It's at what we call "Lower Beacon", just about where the Greenline takes a dive and goes underground. There's something special about the St. Mary's area. Many people describe it as being more like Back Bay than other parts of Brookline. It's right on the Boston line and a short walk to the Longwood Medical Area and BU campus. One of the best things about the St. Mary's area is the Hall's Pond Sanctuary. Situated at the edge of Amory Park, it's a beautiful walking area that seemingly transports you out of the city altogether. St. Mary's is also home to many excellent shops, restaurants and cafes, including Beacon Street Tavern and Tatte, a remarkable french bakery. Real estate in the St. Mary's area comprises mainly pre-war buildings that have been converted to condos, although there are still some attached brownstones that have been preserved as either single family homes or multi-families.
